Shalom uveracha! and Merry Christmas to all of you!
Indeed, may Yeshua bless all of you richly as you continue to walk with Him!
Now.. I am sure you have all read Deuteronomy 28 and Leviticus 26 right? Yes... I believe so...
Anyways, the 2 chapters above does tell us clearly that God will bless us abundantly if we WALK IN HIS WAYS and OBEY HIS COMMANDMENTS. Well... whenever I read that, I am excited. But I am not focusing on how God will bless. I am more concerned on how can I obey??
Let me share with you these things as I learned. If Moshe(Moses) said you shall obey all the commandments does it mean:
1. Obey all the food laws?
2. Undergo Circumcision?
3. Celebrate all the Jewish festivals?
4. Observe Shabbat?
5. Carry out sacrifice and obey miscellaneous laws?
Well... if we are to obey the LORD we must obey all His commandments and well... PRAISE GOD that the end of every law is Messiah
Romans 10:4
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
and how you may ask?
Well... firstly after the sacrifice of Yeshua on the cross for our sins, our sins are washed away by the power of His precious blood. We are cleansed therefore not by the blood of bulls and lambs but by the blood of Yeshua ha Messiah our LORD who conquered sin and death. Seeing that, we are no more to make sacrifice and also that the beit mishkan(Temple) is us; our bodies which are the Temple of the Holy Spirit.
Hebrews 9:11-14
But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, then through the greater and more perfect tent (not made with hands, that is, not of this creation) he entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify for the purification of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.
Hebrews 4:14-16
Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
What about circumcision? Must we all be circumcised in the flesh? Not so, but we who are in Messiah must be circumcised by the Spirit.
Romans 2:28-29
For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God.
And the circumcision of the Spirit is when the Holy Spirit comes into you and changes your heart and renews it day by day. That is why we need to be born of the Spirit.
Food law? pls read Acts 10 =) Shilach(Apostle) Shaul/Paul also said...
Romans 14:17
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
And this scripture truly answers the observance of festivals and days (read Romans 14)
But remember that we are to serve God joyfully =)
I hope you are excited as I am and let us go out to obey God and serve Him joyfully knowing that we have everything in Him!
Shalom Uveracha b'shem Yeshua ha Messiah!
Peace and blessing in the name of Jesus the Messiah!

Very nice :) Too many people often dismiss OT laws as culturally outdated rather than see them as fulfilled in Christ.
well... thanks to my piano teacher for telling me of this =)
I was joyed when I read that and meditated on it. Well.. God bless you richly in Messiah!
